Car Organizers

A very long time ago, my friend Haley, suggested this project to me as a beginning sewing project. I bought the material, printed the tutorial, and then never made it...until today. It's amazing how a discombobulated car can motivate. I LOVE organization and organizers.

I used a lightweight canvas that I found in the Hobby Lobby clearance bin. Yay!
The original tutorial comes from Mayfly. It is detailed and easy to follow, and my friend Haley was correct: This is a good, worth-while project for a beginner. I loved that I had all of the "ingredients" on hand, and it didn't need anything special like D-rings or webbing.

This one is the daughter's. It holds her Aquadoodle, Dora glasses, some bubbles, crayons, a mini coloring book, and a snack with room leftover. There's still room for me to have a diaper and wipes in the seat pocket behind it.

This one is mine. I have a cosmetic bag (concealer, powder, mascara, lip gloss, file, bobby pins, & lotion), my Thirty-One Mini On-The-Go Organizer for reward cards (so I don't have to keep them in my purse), a tape measure (you never know), an extra set of sunglasses, and lots of room left over.

LOVE this project and think it's a shame I waited so long to do it. It took about an hour and a half for both. So go!
