I finally found some contractors I could love.
These cuties were constructing sculptures or buildings or I'm-not-sure-what out of marshmallows and toothpicks. I got the idea from The Mother Huddle.
As most of the nation knows, Dallas had a freak Arctic ice, snow, freeze out last week. On Friday, the last day of it, I-30, the highway my hubby has to take to get to work, was shut down. So he "worked" from home.
This all sounds cute. But seriously, I was going crazy being cooped up inside with a 2-year old all week. Not that she was driving me crazy per se (well...maybe a little), but we ran out of things to do by day two. (Plus our hot water was out this entire time, so that added to the fun.) The Mother Huddle couldn't have blogged about this activity fast enough. I read the blog (with my daughter whining "Diego? Diego?" in the background...Diego isn't frickin' on right now!) and immediately started the activity. She loved it!
But mostly she liked eating the marshmallows.
I didn't have enough marshmallows and toothpicks for the husband's leaning tower of Babel he had going on, so I broke out the pasta and prunes, which started a whole new activity of sticking penne on the spaghetti.
She liked the prunes, too.

SO CUTE! Would love if you would join my "linky" party! Great idea and I think it would help other mama's with ideas!
