A completed project...finally. I have about 10 unfinished, just sitting there taking up space projects in the works right now. Felt freeing to have one of them finally complete (and with no issues). Looks just like I wanted it to look, too!
This tutorial from Dimple Prints helped me along. I wrapped the wreath in burlap first because I didn't mind that showing through. My only other plan is to add a felt pennant through the middle that says "Texas A&M." Next year, perhaps. Gotta get moving on these other items.
Also, maroon ribbon is actually not easy to find in craft stores around here. (I went to three!) So I found this vendor on Etsy. She'll create a set of ribbon for you to match anything: sports team, color theme, birthday theme, holiday, etc. I figured for $12ish, she can do the legwork. :) I also found the maroon geometric vintage ribbon and this football printed twill on Etsy as well. The entire project was less than $20, but you could probably do it for half that if you have easy colors or a bunch of ribbon already on hand.
