My daughter has been invited to a plethora of birthday parties recently. I've decided, to make life easy, that every girl this year will receive one of these beautiful aprons made using Craftiness Is Not Optional's tutorial.
They were actually quite enjoyable to make and didn't take a lot of time. I also consider this project a nice scrap buster for those larger, loved pieces of fabric.
I machine embroidered the pocket material before cutting the pocket. I think next time I'll use the 2" font instead of 3" and knock an inch off the measurements for the pocket. They were kind of big.
I also took the opportunity to try my mitered corner skills with the potholders and learned that I need more practice.
Now I should probably make one for my own daughter. These were just too cute and would make a fun handmade gift for any little girl on Christmas morning.
