Our family hit up the pumpkin patch at the beautiful Dallas Arboretum. The entry fee and parking was steep, but their pumpkins are pretty cheap.

So here are our creations:

I was inspired by this pin for the henna pumpkin. Painted the pumpkin white with orange polka dots. Then used Scribbles shiny black paint to dot on the dots.

My daughter chose an abstract painting technique. :P

The hubs used a Dora stencil from the Nick Jr. site to carve a pretty sweet Dora face in his pumpkin. Such a great dad!

We always carve too soon in October, and the darn pumpkins don't last. Bummer. But the family had a loving night working our pumpkin creations.
